About the firm
Jitasa started in Boise, Idaho, in 2008 under the name Easy Office and became Jitasa in 2012, the same year it became a B Corp. It says it has more than 600 employees, with offices in Costa Rica, the Philippines, Thailand and Bosnia as well as Idaho.
Who it works with
Jitasa serves nonprofits in any state and sector, with service tiers for small (under $500,000), midsize ($500,000 to $5 million) and large (over $5 million) organizations, including educational, membership, faith-based and multi-chapter groups. Each client has a primary associate plus three to four other team members.
Services and how engagements work
Jitasa provides bookkeeping, controller and CFO services, with add-ons such as audit preparation, bill pay, dashboards, grant management and payroll coordination. It works in QuickBooks Online (included in its price), Intuit Enterprise Suite or Sage Intacct. Jitasa says it does not conduct independent financial audits, and it prepares tax returns only for bookkeeping clients. Onboarding takes six to 12 weeks, according to its FAQ.
Fees
Bookkeeping is a flat monthly fee quoted to each client. Jitasa publishes tax prices for its clients: Form 990-N $300, 990-EZ $850, 990 from $1,700 and 990-PF $2,500. Fractional CFO tiers start at $12,000 and $19,500 a year.
