What is GrantCue?
GrantCue is grant discovery and management software. It searches open opportunities from Grants.gov, selected state grant portals, foundations and community sources, lets your team save the ones that fit, and then tracks each grant through a pipeline with owners, tasks and deadline reminders. It also includes AI tools that summarize funding notices and help draft proposals. It is aimed at small teams: GrantCue says it was built for the executive director who is also the grant writer, and for offices priced out of enterprise systems.
What the free plan covers
The Free plan is for one person and needs no card. It tracks up to 10 grants at once and includes Grants.gov search and filters, a Kanban pipeline, tasks and notes, simple email reminders, a calendar feed for deadlines, light file storage (50 MB, 10 documents), read-only CSV export and 3 AI summaries a month. Every new workspace starts with 14 days of the Team plan; when the trial ends it moves to Free automatically and keeps what you saved.
Paid plans and the nonprofit code
Each price covers the whole organization with a set number of users. Monthly list prices are Essentials $49 (3 users, 75 tracked grants), Team $109 (8 users, 250 grants, post-award budget vs actuals, Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Calendar) and Organization $229 (20 users, unlimited grants, custom roles and audit trails). Annual billing costs 17% to 20% less. Nonprofits and state associations get 25% off any paid plan with the code NONPROFIT at checkout, for as long as they subscribe; GrantCue says no paperwork is needed. It cannot be combined with the founding-customer offer. No plan requires 501(c)(3) status.
Before you rely on it
- It is a young product. GrantCue’s terms took effect in November 2025, and it is built by a small team in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Keep your own list of key deadlines, and use the CSV export, which every plan includes.
- Know where your text goes. Its privacy policy names Anthropic’s Claude models for drafting, summaries and scoring, and OpenAI for the text embeddings used in grant matching. Avoid pasting donor or client personal details into drafts.
- Backups and uptime. Its security page says the database is hosted in the US East (Virginia) region, with a daily backup and the last 7 kept, so up to a day of changes could be lost. Uptime commitments come only with the Enterprise plan.
- Check each grant at the source. Search results point you to opportunities; confirm eligibility and the deadline in the funder’s own notice before you plan the work.
Disclosure
